In the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Kristin Morgan serves as Senior Director for Grants Administration and Strategic Partnerships as well as the Co-principal Investigator and Program Director for the Virginia – North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. In addition, Kristin is a Co-principal Investigator for the Bridge to the Doctorate and member of its advisory board. She directs the VA – NC Alliance Summer Research Program and is a member of a social science research study team examining the impacts of STEM intervention programs on identify and self-efficacy. Kristin manages proposals, data collection, and reports to the National Science Foundation.
Kristin contributes to the broader work of the office with strategic planning for diversity and inclusion. She also coordinates the Disability Advocacy and Action Committee, co-founded the Civic Engagement Subcommittee, among others, and fundraises for diversity and inclusion initiatives, most notably the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers.
She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Religious Studies and from Oregon State University with an M.A. in Applied Anthropology.
